Sentinel: Descendants in Time Hints
What is the purpose of doing that?
of 12: Remember what is happening at the very top of this light tower?
of 12: There is a beam of light that is synchronizing with one of the four dish antennae atop the large tower.
of 12: And each light tower is emitting a beam of light, aimed at that large tower, at regular and precise intervals.
of 12: In fact, the intervals for each tower are identical.
of 12: What is NOT identical is the "phase", or timing, of the beam.
of 12: Do you also remember what happens at the large tower when each dish antennae is hit by one of the four beams of light?
of 12: There is a large mechanical arm that is activated -- one for each of the four light beams.
of 12: At the moment, they are operating independently of each other.
of 12: But what would happen if they were all operating together?
of 12: What would happen, in other words, if you could set the "phase" of each light tower so that all of their beams struck the large tower at the same time?
of 12: That is the purpose of the device atop each light tower.
of 12: By clicking on the appropriate contact, you can synchronize the beam of light from this tower with one or more beams from the other light towers.
