Sentinel: Descendants in Time Hints

What is the purpose of doing that?

  • 1 of 12: Remember what is happening at the very top of this light tower?
  • 2 of 12: There is a beam of light that is synchronizing with one of the four dish antennae atop the large tower.
  • 3 of 12: And each light tower is emitting a beam of light, aimed at that large tower, at regular and precise intervals.
  • 4 of 12: In fact, the intervals for each tower are identical.
  • 5 of 12: What is NOT identical is the "phase", or timing, of the beam.
  • 6 of 12: Do you also remember what happens at the large tower when each dish antennae is hit by one of the four beams of light?
  • 7 of 12: There is a large mechanical arm that is activated -- one for each of the four light beams.
  • 8 of 12: At the moment, they are operating independently of each other.
  • 9 of 12: But what would happen if they were all operating together?
  • 10 of 12: What would happen, in other words, if you could set the "phase" of each light tower so that all of their beams struck the large tower at the same time?
  • 11 of 12: That is the purpose of the device atop each light tower.
  • 12 of 12: By clicking on the appropriate contact, you can synchronize the beam of light from this tower with one or more beams from the other light towers.
