Sentinel: Descendants in Time Hints
I've lowered one of the grates, but it leads nowhere. What now?
1 of 9: Continue to experiment with all four of the grates at this level.
2 of 9: As each grate is lowered, walk out to the platform that is now accessible.
3 of 9: Look around -- including down.
4 of 9: And if the platform leads nowhere, then all you got was a bit of a view.
5 of 9: However, one platform is not closed in.
6 of 9: If you have lowered the second handle, then the grate you are facing (while working at the console) has been lowered. And it is NOT closed in.
7 of 9: If you walk over to that platform (with the grate down), you will notice that there is, in fact, a sloping walkway that leads away from that platform, in a semi-circle downward around the outside of the elevator shaft you came up, and stops...
8 of 9: ... at another platform, this time at level '4'.
9 of 9: And you've just taken your first step in solving this puzzle.
