Sentinel: Descendants in Time Hints

But there is no machinery tower that matches that pattern!

  • 1 of 14: Then there must be something else that we're still missing...
  • 2 of 14: ... perhaps another clue that would help us finalize this part of the puzzle.
  • 3 of 14: Have you walked the path that cuts through Sanselard vertically (based on the map) at the "top level"?
  • 4 of 14: What can you find there that relates to this part of the puzzle?
  • 5 of 14: It's the disk with the crudely drawn pictures of the two different towers, showing that there is a correlation between the spinning wheels of each.
  • 6 of 14: But have you looked closely at each image?
  • 7 of 14: Which way are the towers in the diagram facing?
  • 8 of 14: Based on the curve of the main frame of each, you are looking at the machinery tower from the right side, but the light tower from the left side.
  • 9 of 14: Which would seem to indicate that we're supposed to do our matching in *this* perspective.
  • 10 of 14: Rather than go back and re-do all of the checking and notation, from different perspectives, all we have to do is to "reverse" the three vertical wheels for each of the 4 light towers (and leave the horizontally spinning wheel the same, since it will not be affected whether viewed from the right side or the left side of any tower).
  • 11 of 14: Thus, light tower #1 changes from "FCFF" to "BCBB".
  • 12 of 14: Light tower #2 changes from "BXBF" to "FXFB".
  • 13 of 14: Light towers #3, and #4 change from "FXBB" to "BXFF", and from "FCBF" to "BCFB", respectively.
  • 14 of 14: And now we can match them to the machinery towers!
