Sentinel: Descendants in Time Hints
How in the world am I supposed to do this?
of 14: Here's where the randomness comes in. Because there is no way to tell which tower you are beginning with (nor, for that matter, to force you to any one of them); and you also do not know how "out of synch" the light beams are at the point where you are in the game. So you are going to have to make your adjustments *dynamically* -- that is, based on making an adjustment, watching to see what happens, and then continuing from there.
of 14: Remember that you have to get all four light towers "in synch". However, there is no requirement as to WHICH light tower you need to synchronize with.
of 14: Therefore, you really only need to adjust three of the light towers.
of 14: When you arrive at the top of your first light tower, and survey Sanselard, the first thing you'll want to do is to choose which light tower you want to be the "synchronization point". This is the light tower that you will NEVER adjust. It is going to be your reference point for the remainder of this exercise.
of 14: Now, using the control on the upper platform of the tower you are currently in, try clicking on any of the eight points around the outer circle, to see what happens between your light, and this "reference point".
of 14: While you are doing this, completely ignore the other two light towers, and the beams they are sending out. Focus on your light beam (which will be shining from directly overhead), and the "reference beam".
of 14: The farther you move around the circle (when you click on the control), the larger an "adjustment" will be made.
of 14: You can try making medium-sized adjustments -- but you may actually overcorrect if you do it too many times.
of 14: Sometimes the easiest method is to "take little steps" -- advance your light beam by just a little, until it is synchronized with the "reference beam".
of 14: After a few tries, you should be able to successfully synchronize your light beam with the "reference beam". If you have, the result should be that both light beams will strike the antennae tower at the exact same time.
of 14: (If they are not, then you do not yet have your light tower adjusted properly. Continue making fine adjustments until they are identical. If you do not reach this point, it will be extremely difficult to synchronize the other two towers.)
of 14: Once you have your tower synchronized with the reference tower, you will then need to proceed to one or the other of the two remaining towers (which are still "out of synch"), and do the exact same thing there.
of 14: That will require: 1) Solving the puzzle at the base of the light tower, to get access to the tower elevator...
