Sentinel: Descendants in Time Hints
I've pressed the right keys in the right order, but nothing happens.
1 of 8: Remember that we are trying to "decode" the seven symbols by using these keys.
2 of 8: Each time you press a key, an asterisk is printed in one of the seven squares above the keypad.
3 of 8: But you must make sure that you start your first key-press with the first square.
4 of 8: If you have been experimenting with the keypad prior to entering the correct sequence, it is possible that there are already some number of the squares filled with asterisks.
5 of 8: If that is the case, then when the seventh square is filled (and you are not yet finished entering the correct sequence), the "code" will start all over again -- and your "correct" sequence will have been broken across two "tries".
6 of 8: So make sure that before you begin entering the correct 7-key solution, the seven squares are empty.
7 of 8: You can do this either by pressing random keys until the seven squares are full (at which point they'll clear), or you can back away from the puzzle, and come back up to it, so that it will reset itself.
8 of 8: Only when all seven squares are empty should you begin entering the correct 7-key sequence.
