Sentinel: Descendants in Time Hints
What do I do with the shells?
of 12: There is a large shell in the middle of the water. You cannot walk out to it, but you can indirectly interact with it.
of 12: Have you found any way to cause anything interesting to happen to the large shell?
of 12: Have you noticed the shell-shapes mounted on posts at various locations around Eska?
of 12: What happens when you press the button on one of the shell-shapes?
of 12: Whether or not something happens will depend on which shell you're using.
of 12: There are a total of six shell-shapes. You will eventually need to find them all, but if you haven't yet, that's okay -- for now try to find at least two. Once you've found the shells, study them for differences.
of 12: The shells themselves are virtually identical, but there is a difference between the posts.
of 12: Each post has a different number of lines on it (or no lines at all).
of 12: If you press the button on the shell that has no lines on its post, water vapor will flow out the sides of the large shell.
of 12: If you press any of the other shells -- without first pressing the shell without lines, nothing will happen.
of 12: Likewise, if you press the shell with one line on its post, after doing the shell without lines, then water vapor will flow out the top of the large shell.
of 12: The rest of the shells will need to be pressed in their proper order -- the next one should have two lines on it, then the shell with three lines, then four lines, and finally five lines. If you press one out of turn, you will not have to start over, but will need to find the next one in order and continue from there.
