Sentinel: Descendants in Time Hints

Second Flower (from the left)

  • 1 of 10: This flower is lower than the one of the left, and a shorter distance from the tower.
  • 2 of 10: If you were to press the L3 button and go down to the base of the tower to check, you would find that the beam of light passes too far to the left of the flower.
  • 3 of 10: If you were to press (from the starting position) the L3 button, then the R2 button, the tower would be one space to the left of the starting position (L3, R2 = L1).
  • 4 of 10: If you were to look up, from the base of the tower, you would find that the light is passing the flower on the right side.
  • 5 of 10: So, if three spaces is too much, and one is not enough, then the flower must be positioned two spaces to the left of the tower.  To confirm this, move the tower (from the starting position) L3, R2, L3, R2.  This will move the tower until it is two spaces to the left of the starting position.
  • 6 of 10: Using the same logic, move the tower U3, then go check the position of the light beam.
  • 7 of 10: Next, move the light D2, then go check the position of the light beam.
  • 8 of 10: When the light is U3, it is too high.  When it is lowered from that position by 2, it is too low (U3, D2 = U1).  So the correct position must be U2.
  • 9 of 10: To confirm this, move the tower (from the starting position), U3, D2, U3, D2.  This will place the beam of light at the same height as the flower.
  • 10 of 10: The second flower is positioned exactly L2 and U2 from the starting position of the tower.
