Sentinel: Descendants in Time Hints
What am I supposed to do here?
1 of 16: The obvious goal is to retrieve the crystal.
2 of 16: However, you will need to solve several other puzzles, to gain access to the crystal.
3 of 16: Begin by circumnavigating the island.
4 of 16: You should find several things to see, and places to turn off from the main path around the island.
5 of 16: Have you noticed the paths that lead from the main center path, down to a number of steel ramps leading out to the edge of the island?
6 of 16: How many have you found?
7 of 16: There should be four, altogether. In some cases, you can even walk beyond the edge of the land, out over the lava, on additional steel ramps.
8 of 16: In other cases, you will be stopped at the edge of the land, because no steel ramp is accessible.
9 of 16: What else do you notice, as you peruse the four ramp areas?
10 of 16: There are at least two other significant similarities between all four.
11 of 16: Have you found anything in common out near where the ramps join (or might join) the island?
12 of 16: Look to the left side of the path, as you are facing the metal walkways in each of the four locations.
13 of 16: You should find a telescope that is active, in each location.
14 of 16: What can you see when you look through any of the telescopes?
15 of 16: Among other things, as you pan from side to side, you should be able to see some sort of column, with an umbrella-shaped top to it, and some colored circles on the side of the column.
16 of 16: Your goal, at each of these four ramp areas, is to get out to each of those "umbrella stands".
