1 of 5: When you were standing on the dock, there was a faint light in the distance.
2 of 5: That light is on the dock outside the Lakeview Hotel, where you've been trying to get since arrived in Silent Hill. That's your goal.
3 of 5: Once you get in the boat, row right in a circle till you see the light, then go toward it.
4 of 5: Homing in on the light is a little difficult because the boat drifts so. Try steering right or left while still moving forward; that moves you less drastically than just going right or left.
5 of 5: When you get close enough to the light, James will dock the boat automatically for you, and shazam! You're finally at the Lakeview Hotel.
