How do I unlock the left tower?

2 of 23: One marked KEY 6, specifically.
3 of 23: This is probably the best-hidden key in the game.
4 of 23: First, I assume you've found your way to the Fireplace Room. (It has a big fireplace with assorted tools, a window, and a globe.)

8 of 23: Besides the fire I mean. Yes, you can light it, though it doesn't do anything.
