Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective, Volume II Hints
What should I learn from the Times?
of 10: You didn't learn anything about the case from the introduction, so you should probably look in today's paper for the details.
of 10: The title of this case should tell you what to look for. Look for two two different cases about lions.
of 10: The first one is about the death of two lions in Hyde Park (page 1, column 3). All articles are in the August 17, 1888 issue unless otherwise noted.
of 10: But there's also information on the death of Stephen Lyons (page 2, column 2).
of 10: You will eventually need to find the owners of the two dead lions.
of 10: They were part of a circus show.
of 10: They're part of Hengler's Circus (page 1, column 2), so go visit the owner.
of 10: You will also find a bit of information on Thomas O'Neill. Look in the July 4, 1888 article on page 2, column 3.
of 10: And find some information about what happened in Germany.
of 10: Specifically, about the theft of the Oldenburg Jewels. It's the next article down after the one about O'Neill and the robbery at Garrard & Company.
