Sherlock Holmes versus Arsene Lupin Hints

How can I reach the hidden room in the crypt?

  • 1 of 13: The clue here relates to the Latin inscription on the same wall.
  • 2 of 13: Examine it. It's a little dirty, so it could be cleaned, or at least clarified.
  • 3 of 13: Once you can see it more clearly, notice the shield at the top.
  • 4 of 13: Have you seen that coat of arms before, perhaps at another location in the area?
  • 5 of 13: Check the weapons rooms again, and you will find that same shield.
  • 6 of 13: It is a blue shield with yellow marks on it, and it can be picked up. Do so.
  • 7 of 13: Now you will need to find someone to identify the coat of arms upon it.
  • 8 of 13: Head back and inform Watson of your findings, and you will send Watson off on a fetch quest to Baker Street to carry out a little research.
  • 9 of 13: Once Holmes' translation is complete, you will need to place a specific weapon from the weapons room into each nook under the shield emblems. This needs to be performed in the order on the translation.
  • 10 of 13: The clues in the translation ("crow's beak," "morning star," etc.) are all names of weapons that can be found in the weapons room. The guard there will tell you which is which.
  • 11 of 13: The order to place them in is simply the order they are mentioned, under the relevant shield. You can find out which shield belongs to which knight by looking their shields up in the book Watson brought you.
  • 12 of 13: The correct order and weapons is shown below:
  • 13 of 13: First - Lamorak - Far right shield - Morning Star
Second - Bors - Second shield from the left - Spear (Glaive)
Third - Percival - Third shield from left - Crow's Beak
Fourth - Bedivere - Far left shield - Bardiche
Fifth - Kay - Third shield from right - Partisan
Sixth - Lancelot - Second shield from right - Sword
