The Testament of Sherlock Holmes Hints
How can I solve the map box puzzle?
of 14: After getting the two photo clues, bring up the box's puzzle screen and click on one of the new "Photo" items across the top to bring up the photo.
of 14: Move the magnifying glass around on it to find interesting features.
of 14: The most important thing to note is which city each photo was taken in.
of 14: One of them is labeled as being in Bombay, and the other one features Big Ben in the background.
of 14: So Bombay and London are the two cities that are relevant to solving the map box's puzzle.
of 14: But the cities aren't the only things you need to know. There's also a number associated with each city.
of 14: You could just select one of those cities and then scroll through the numbers until you hit the right one, but there is a way to figure them out.
of 14: On the London photo, move the magnifying glass onto Big Ben's clockface and click to get Holmes to note that it shows 10 am.
of 14: So 10 must be the number associated with London. Click on London's green dot to select it, then use the arrows next to the number at the top of the box until it shows a 10.
of 14: Clicking on the clockface in the Bombay photo reveals that it was taken at 6 pm, so scroll the map until you can select Bombay, then set the number to 6.
of 14: That doesn't work for some reason. Why might that be?
of 14: Perhaps it's the old military time routine. After all, there's no am/pm selector on the box.
of 14: 6 pm is hour number 6 + 12 = 18 in military time, so try setting the number to 18.
