The Testament of Sherlock Holmes Hints
How can I cross the sludge canal in the sewer?
of 13: From where you start, walk down to a closed door, then turn right to see a boat on the other side of the canal.
of 13: Move to where you can examine it, then look around on your side of the canal for something you can use to snag the boat and pull it over.
of 13: A rope with a grappling hook on the end of it would be ideal. See if you can find one of those anywhere.
of 13: Go along the walkway until you get near its other end, then look in the sludge nearby for a rope.
of 13: Examine it to get a close-up of it, then click on it to start pulling it in.
of 13: Click on it three more times to keep pulling it in until you find a grappling hook (and a dead body).
of 13: Click on the hook to take it and the rope, then go back to where you're directly across from the boat.
of 13: Select the rope and hook in inventory, then click on the boat's hand icon to get it pulled partway across the canal.
of 13: That as far as it'll go, so you'll need to find a way to get over to it.
of 13: Watson won't risk trying to jump across, so look down at the edge of the walkway near the boat.
of 13: Examine the hotspot to get a close-up, then click on the hand icon to raise a service trapdoor.
of 13: That'll help Watson get to the boat if you can find a way to get it to stay up and hold his weight.
