How can I solve the grating puzzle?
1 of 8: The best way is to work backwards from your goal.
2 of 8: Look at where the light-colored circle is, and determine what your last move will have to be.
3 of 8: In the starting puzzle configuration, you can see that the only way to get onto the light-colored circle is to move down to it from the space directly above it.
4 of 8: In order to get to the space above it, you'll need to move right from somewhere over to the left.
5 of 8: Studying the area to the left, you'll see that the only place the disc can stop over there is along the left edge of the panel, against a horizontal barrier.
6 of 8: It can only get there from the top left corner of the panel, and it can only get there after moving up to the top edge from somewhere below.
7 of 8: Keep up that "reverse engineering" routine until you work your way back to the metal disc's starting position. You can then do the moves in "forward" order to get the disc onto the circle.
8 of 8: After the puzzle rearranges itself, you'll need to repeat the same process. Each puzzle configuration requires more moves than the previous one, but is otherwise handled just the same.
