How can I verify that the Marquis' necklace is a fake?
1 of 7: First, look toward the table that Watson is seated at and click twice to bring up the newspaper article about the necklace in your document inventory.
2 of 7: Click the arrows to read all the way through it (or just press ESC without doing that) to get a cut-scene in which you'll need to choose various dialogue topics.
3 of 7: After you use them all, turn to face the corner of the table that the allegedly fake necklace is on, then move toward it if necessary to get a hand icon you can click on.
4 of 7: Once you get the necklace close-up view, move the cursor all along it.
5 of 7: Whenever you point at an interesting spot, the cursor will turn into a small magnifying glass.
6 of 7: When it does, click to get Holmes to notice a defect.
7 of 7: After you find all three defects, Holmes will conclude that it's a fake.
