The Testament of Sherlock Holmes Hints

How does the alarm-fixing puzzle work?

  • 1 of 6: The piece you move is a little gold arrow that starts out at the bottom of the puzzle.
  • 2 of 6: The puzzle board consists of several concentric rings that you can move your piece around on, plus several rotating gold bars and stationary metal bars.
  • 3 of 6: Use the A and S keys to rotate your piece left and right within the ring that it's in, and use the W and D keys to move it forward and backward between rings. You can also click on a spot to move your piece toward it, but I always found it easier to use the keys.
  • 4 of 6: Your piece is unable to pass through any of the stationary metal bars, and it'll be moved back to the starting position whenever it touches one of the rotating gold bars.
  • 5 of 6: Note that your piece is incapable of moving from the outermost ring to the next ring except through the gaps at the top and bottom. However, it can move through all of the other rings' borders at any point as long as there isn't a stationary metal bar on the other side.
  • 6 of 6: Your goal is to make it to the innermost ring of the puzzle and then move your piece into the horizontal slot that bisects the central circle.
