The Testament of Sherlock Holmes Hints
Which key am I supposed to take?
1 of 9: The one that'll unlock the side room's door.
2 of 9: Holmes will only risk taking one key at a time, so you can't just grab them all and go try them until you find the right one.
3 of 9: You could take a key at random and go see if it works, but there's a better way. (Note that if you take a key that doesn't work, you can put it back by selecting it in inventory and then clicking on its empty hook.)
4 of 9: Notice the Chinese symbols that are printed above each key.
5 of 9: Go over to the door you're trying to open, then look above it to see that it's labeled with Chinese symbols.
6 of 9: Examine them for a brief close-up, and try to quickly memorize the general shape of the leftmost symbol. Also note that there are three symbols in all.
7 of 9: Return to the reception area and get the key board close-up again.
8 of 9: Looking the board over, you'll see that there are three keys that have three symbols printed above them.
9 of 9: Checking the leftmost symbol for all three keys, you'll find that the one you memorized from above the door is also printed above the top left key. It must be the correct one.
