The Testament of Sherlock Holmes Hints
How can I open the doors to the veranda?
1 of 7: After getting rid of the reverend, look around for a key or something that might open the doors' lock.
2 of 7: There's no key to be found, so look for something that might work as a lockpick.
3 of 7: Did you thoroughly examine the bishop's self-flagellation devices that you found in the armoire?
4 of 7: Get a close-up of the armoire's bottom cabinet again, then move the cursor around on the belt-like "cilice" device.
5 of 7: When the cursor turns into a hand, click to take a metal stick.
6 of 7: Go over to the veranda doors, then select the metal stick from inventory. (I still prefer using the mouse wheel to select inventory items, but if you prefer, you can bring up the inventory screen, left-click on the metal stick, and then right-click to close the inventory screen.)
7 of 7: Once the metal stick is selected, click on the veranda doors' hand icon to bring up the lockpicking puzzle screen.
