How can I get the landlady to let me into Henry's room?

  • 1 of 12: You'll need to get her to trust you by recovering her stolen laundry for her.
  • 2 of 12: Turn left from facing the building's front door and go down to where there are closed gates on the left and right.
  • 3 of 12: The left gate is locked, so open the right gate and go through it.
  • 4 of 12: Past it, look to the left for the landlady's laundry line, then look to the left of it for a spot on the fence that you can examine.
  • 5 of 12: Move the cursor around in the fence's close-up view to see that you get a hand icon on a board with four nails in it.
  • 6 of 12: When you click on that board, Holmes will say he needs something.
  • 7 of 12: After the board is removed, you can walk through a gap in the fence and start looking around for the missing laundry item.
  • 8 of 12: It's a shirt, and it's stuck in a rather high-up position.
  • 9 of 12: Look up in the nearby large tree to see that the shirt is caught on one of the lower branches.
  • 10 of 12: Before you can turn the shirt in to the landlady, you'll need to figure out what the shirt thief was doing back there.
  • 11 of 12: Examine the round hole that's to the right of the fence gap to learn that the thief must've been using it to spy on Henry in his room.
  • 12 of 12: You can then go click on the apartment building's front door to turn the shirt over to the landlady and get permission to search Henry's room.
