How can I figure out the second dial's number?
1 of 6: Notice that its clue numbers are arranged into rows and columns.
2 of 6: Maybe all of the numbers in a row or column have to add up to the same total.
3 of 6: The two complete rows add up to different numbers, so try the columns.
4 of 6: The two complete columns both add up to 9. That must be the key to it.
5 of 6: What would the missing number have to be in order to make the incomplete column add up to 9?
6 of 6: It would need to be 9 - (5 + 3) = 9 - 8 = 1. Set the second dial to 1.
