Silent Hill 3 Hints
Shotgun
1 of 2: While the shotgun is very powerful, it's so slow that Heather is left open to attack after firing. It's best to not use the shotgun while surrounded by enemies because the enemies other than your target will have plenty of time to attack Heather as she recovers. Also, if attacking only one enemy, be sure to get close to it in order to take advantage of the shotgun's full power. On the other hand, the spreading shot can damage a cluster of enemies if they're far enough in front of you when you fire.
2 of 2: Try to save Shotgun Ammo for enemies that are difficult to kill with weaker weapons. One shotgun shell can be more valuable than several handgun bullets, depending on your situation.
