4 of 17: Carefully examine the tarot cards. On them, you'll find Roman numerals on the top of the cards.
5 of 17: Fool -- 0 Moon -- XVIII High Priestess -- II Eye of Night -- XXII Hanged Man -- XII
6 of 17: Notice that in the markings in the sketchbook, there are Cs, Xs, Vs, and Is...Roman numerals.
7 of 17: But there are a lot of other characters, too. How could you sift through those?
8 of 17: Get rid of all the characters in the markings that are not the Roman numerals X, V, or I.

10 of 17: Note, however, that the Fool card is 0 -- not a Roman numeral. There's one set of markings that has no Roman numerals, and notice what it spells: "NOTHNG," which is very similar to "Nothing." 0 = Nothing. Now, we have (after rearranging the Roman numerals so that they make sense...):
