Silent Hill 3 Hints
Normal
On normal, the boss will be a bit more difficult than on easy. The fires that the boss will light will travel slowly, at most halfway around the arc on the side it was lit on. The fire will leave the arc to come after you wherever you're standing, but it'll only travel slowly in a straight line, so when you see it coming, run or sidestep to avoid it. You cannot block fire. Sometimes she'll light two at a time; it's best to attract and dodge one first, then the next, rather than trying to dodge both at the same time. Keep firing at the boss when her head's down. It's very possible that you may run out of ammo. If you do, run in at her when her head's down and attack with your most effective melee weapon -- probably the katana (the maul will leave you a little too vulnerable, so it's probably best not to use it if you have the katana). Keep it up and she'll eventually fall.
