Silent Hill 3 Hints
Numb Body
1 of 2: Numb Bodies are two-legged, chicken-like monsters made of grey, rotting flesh. They have only one type of attack: they'll shift their weight forward and basically head-butt you. They also come in three varieties: small, medium, and large. As they get bigger, they also get stronger. In addition, Numb Bodies tend to attack in groups, so it's possible to be overwhelmed by the sheer numbers. For the most part, though, they don't offer too much of a challenge and can usually be easily killed or simply bypassed.
2 of 2: No matter the size, Numb Bodies don't take too much to take down. If you have ammo to spare, use the handgun while slowly backing away, firing until it falls. If you don't want to use the ammo, no problem. Most of your melee attacks will disrupt the Numb Body's attack, so just keep beating away at it until it's dead. If many Numb Bodies gang up on you, try to back off to give yourself room to maneuver, then use either the shotgun or the maul to attack many of them at once. This will scatter them, giving you a chance to pick them off one at a time. You'll often find a lot of Numb Bodies attacking you at once, but don't panic -- just know your enemy's weakness.
