Silent Hill 3 Hints
Zombie Nurse
1 of 2: If you played Silent Hill, you may remember the nurses in the hospital with bulging parasites on their backs. If you played Silent Hill 2, you may remember the more feminine nurses wielding lead pipes that chased you through the hallways of another hospital. In Silent Hill 3, Silent Hill 2's nurses return, only with a nasty head twitch and, in Normal and harder Action levels, revolvers. Zombie Nurses often attack in groups of at least two. Pipe-armed Nurses will approach you and either whack or jab you with their pipes. Revolver-wielding Nurses tend to keep their distance and shoot at you, but they'll pistol whip you if you get too close.
2 of 2: It's usually possible to isolate and attack only one Zombie Nurse out of a group, which is always your best option. If it's a Pipe Nurse, attack it however you wish -- the handgun is effective since you can move to avoid its approach and melee attacks are usually able to disrupt the Nurse's attacks. Against Revolver Nurses, try to keep something between you and the barrel of her gun until you're ready to attack. If you're using the handgun against the Revolver Nurse, constantly sidestep -- they're not very good shots if you're moving. If you're using a melee weapon, zigzag towards the Nurse until you're in range to use your weapon, and unleash it upon her. They're don't take too many hits to fall. If you're faced with multiple Nurses, consider using the shotgun or even the maul to spread them apart from one another.
