Silent Hill 3 Hints
Scraper
1 of 2: Scrapers are humanoid beings wielding rusty blades. Though not terribly strong, they're fast, so keep your eye on them. They're found only in the last area of the game and, frankly, by that point, don't constitute much of a threat in and of themselves. They can attack you while either charging or standing still.
2 of 2: If a Scraper is attacking you, regardless of which attack it's doing, the best strategy is to block its slash and counter with a slash of your own from the katana, pipe, or whatever you have handy. Almost any melee attack will disrupt its movement. Ranged weapons aren't recommended against Scrapers since they move so quickly, range doesn't really matter and you can't outrun them while moving in your Caution Stance.
