I'm lost and confused!
In general, if you're lost and confused in Silent Hill 3 (and not stuck on what is clearly a puzzle), you just overlooked something. Check your inventory carefully, taking note of unusual objects and, most importantly, keys. Examine all items, especially keys, to find out a little information about them. Also, check your map carefully. If you see any straight red marks over a doorway, it's locked. Often, a key is required to get past the door unless some sort of a puzzle is clearly presented. If all else fails, check your map for any room you haven't tried to enter and, if all doors have been checked, run through the area you're in again, looking for memos, markings, items, and whatnot. If you're still lost, check these hints to see if your answer is presented.
