Silent Hill 3 Hints
How do I get past the swarm of bats?
of 15: You'll get hurt if you try to walk past the bats, so you have to find some way to get rid of them...
of 15: Bats are living things, too, so there's gotta be a way to kill them. None of your weapons work, however...
of 15: Maybe there's something you've found during your trek through the mall that could help you. Be sure to examine everything carefully.
of 15: Make sure you've carefully searched every room you've come across so far. There shouldn't be any door you haven't tried to open.
of 15: There's also a garbage can by the bats. Maybe you could mix something inside it...
of 15: If you searched the Women's Bathroom on the first floor carefully, you should've found some bleach.
of 15: The bleach bottle says that if you mix it with something else, it'll produce chlorine gas. That might do the trick.
of 15: If you searched the hallway leading to where the bats are, you should've found some detergent.
of 15: If you mix the bleach and detergent, you'll produce chlorine gas.
of 15: It won't do any good to make the gas with that big ventilation fan running, though...
of 15: In the hallway before the one with the bats, there's a switch to turn the fan off. That should help.
of 15: Combine the bleach and detergent, then use the combination at the garbage can by the bats.
of 15: You'd better stay out of that hallway as long as there's gas in there, though. If you could somehow get the gas out...
of 15: Fortunately, you have access to the fan's power switch.
of 15: Turn the fan back on to vent the gas out of the hallway. You're now free to pass through. Yay for chemistry.
