Silent Hill 3 Hints
Can I do anything with the "Flame Purifies All" picture?
of 21: You sure can! Once the picture is there, examine it. "Flame purifies all..."
of 21: "Flame purifies all..." Flame... Fire...
of 21: Now be a good pyromaniac and gather what you need. Fire needs a source and fuel.
of 21: As usual, explore everywhere you can. You should find a few items that can be of use.
of 21: First, a source. What would work? Matches, of course! Who uses matches?
of 21: How about smokers? Have you run across any?
of 21: If you explored thoroughly, then yes you have...in a way. You did find a cigarette on the 5th floor...
of 21: Next to the cigarette is a book of matches. Take them.
of 21: Next, you need a fuel source. What fuel does fire need to burn?
of 21: Fire needs oxygen. Unfortunately, only a small percentage of the atmosphere is oxygen, so you'll need to find a more concentrated source of it.
of 21: If you searched the 2nd floor, you ran into a rather interesting character. After that, you were in a room...
of 21: ...with a bottle of stuff called Oxydol and a junior high chemistry book.
of 21: "When you pour diluted hydrogen peroxide onto manganese dioxide, oxygen is produced. Although oxygen will not burn on its own, it will help other things to burn." Sounds promising, no?
of 21: But, first...just what is Oxydol? Go figure, it's diluted hydrogen peroxide! You know, the stuff you pour on bleeding cuts and it bubbles and burns. According to this book, those bubbles are made from...
of 21: ...oxygen. Now we just need some blood to make it work.
of 21: You'd think blood would be easy to find in a twisted place like this, but go figure, you can't use any of the stuff smeared across the walls and floors. You'll need to find some other source.
of 21: Of course, by now, you've explored the 1st floor, so you must've looked in the cafe...
of 21: ...and examined the refrigerator.
of 21: There's a liver inside. It doesn't look very tasty, but take it anyway. How does a liver fit into all this, you ask? Well, it's basically a messy, bloody wound...
of 21: Gather all of these items at the bucket by the "Flame Purifies All" picture and prepare for a light show.
of 21: Combine the matches, Oxydol, and liver and use it in the bucket to burn that sucker up. Purify, baby, purify...disco inferno.
