The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles Hints
How can I get back to Masse? There are two metal gates blocking the way.
of 10: So open them.
of 10: As with most "opened elsewhere" gates, they have push buttons that'll open them.
of 10: Look around in the coffin-filled side areas for buttons.
of 10: There are two on the west walls, one near the NW corner and one near the SW corner.
of 10: However, it's not quite as simple as each button opening and closing one particular gate.
of 10: The north button will toggle both of the gates (closing them if they're open, opening them if they're closed), and the south button will only toggle the inner gate.
of 10: It's really very simple, especially when both gates are closed, which is the starting condition.
of 10: Just press the north button once to open both gates.
of 10: If you've already messed with the south button and gotten it to where the north button will always open one gate and close another, then press the north button until the outer gate is open, and then press the south button until the inner gate is open.
of 10: Once both gates are open, go past them and then back to Masse, where you'll find the Fiele door near the door you first entered Masse through.
