The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles Hints
A Door in Niben Bay
of 12: This is the quest that starts the Shivering Isles main quest series.
of 12: Once you have the quest, make it active and check the world map to find the island that you need to go to a bit east of Bravil.
of 12: After you swim out to the island, go up the ramp at its SW corner or use the passage on the west side that leads to the island's center.
of 12: Either way, climb the pathways until you reach the portal that's up on the island's east end. (TIP: Check for new types of plants to harvest along the way.)
of 12: Soon after you approach the portal, a guy named Belmyne Dreleth will come out of it and turn hostile.
of 12: Either help Gaius Prentus kill him, or just let Prentus do it by himself.
of 12: After it's done, talk to Prentus about the door and how everyone who goes in and then comes back ends up totally crazy.
of 12: You'll end up in a small room with a guy named Haskill sitting behind a table.
of 12: Sit down on the chair across from him and then talk to him.
of 12: After your first conversation is over, talk to him again and say that you'll do it.
of 12: You'll be frozen in place as Haskill disappears and the walls of the room you're in turn into butterflies and fly away. Yeah, this is Crazy Town, all right!
of 12: When you regain control, get up out of the chair and start exploring.
