The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles Hints
Heart of Order Notes
1 of 6: The Heart of Order items are mainly gotten from Knights of Order, which can be encountered on certain main quests and near Obelisks of Order that have been activated. (See the Obelisk Notes for more info on when they go active.)
2 of 6: The hearts count as ingredient items, and can be consumed or made into potions.
3 of 6: When you consume a Heart of Order ingredient or a Jyggalag's Favor potion, you get Fortify Strength 25 points for 15 seconds, Fortify Health 50 points for 15 seconds, and Restore Health 60 points for 1 second. That can be *very* handy in tough battles.
4 of 6: If you consume a second heart before the first one wears off, all remaining effects will be removed, and you won't get the 60-point healing. (In other words, eating a second heart will only cancel the first one's remaining effects, and that's all.)
5 of 6: That's where the advantage of potion form comes in. You can drink a Jyggalag's Favor potion right after consuming a Heart of Order without canceling the heart's benefits, plus you get the extra 60 points of healing. The same goes for drinking two or more potions in a row.
6 of 6: The Fortify Strength and Fortify Health effects still aren't cumulative, but chugging two or more potions as fast as you can is useful if you ever need to quickly heal your character of more than 60 health points.
