Integration Strategies
of 6: Since all of this expansion game's content is fully integrated into the main Oblivion game, and can be installed and used at any point of an Oblivion playthru, I've made a list of how some of the most useful things can be used to enhance such a playthru.
of 6: The Amulet of Disintegration that you get on the "The Coming Storm" misc. quest is *extremely* useful for the goal of quickly practicing your Armorer skill up to where you can repair magic weapons. Buy a bunch of repair hammers, then use the amulet to quickly destroy a bunch of armor and a weapon so you can bang them back into shape. That's *much* faster and easier than either letting enemies beat up on you or using some cheap Disintegrate Armor spell over and over.
of 6: The Ring of the Oceanborn item is a nice alternative to the Fin Gleam helm if you want a single equippable item to give you constant Water Breathing and Night-Eye effects, but don't want that item taking up your helm slot. (Or if you find Fin Gleam's pathetic Detect Life enchantment to be annoying rather than useful.)
of 6: Earil's Inventory is a great way for level 20+ characters to get top-level magic jewelry, especially if you're having trouble finding the rare random-treasure-only Reflect Damage items that you need. (See the "Constant Effect Item Lists" in the main Oblivion hint file's general tips section for more info on Reflect Damage items plus many other useful magic items.)
of 6: The Ruin's Edge bow that you can get on the "The Lady of Paranoia" Main Quest is really neat since it randomly chooses an effect to hit a target with whenever you fire an arrow from it. Its Frenzy effect is particularly handy if you're in a place full of hostile NPCs and want to make them fight each other, but they're too high-level for your Frenzy spells to work on them. (It's best if you're Chameleoned so they can't see you.)
of 6: There are also several other great main quest rewards, such as the Staff of Sheogorath, the ability to summon golden saints, etc., but most of those require you to do quests that are best undertaken with a character who's fairly high-level and has some good enchanted equipment with Chameleon, Reflect Damage, etc.
