The Golden Saint Way

  • 1 of 12: Go through the saints' guarded gate and approach Aurmazl Kaneh and Mirel.
  • 2 of 12: Listen to their conversation without interrupting until you get a journal entry.
  • 3 of 12: Then talk to Kaneh about the Flame of Agnon and then her battle plans.
  • 4 of 12: You'll have two main choices for helping the saints: begin a frontal assault on the main passage now, or scout out the dark seducer positions first.
  • 5 of 12: The immediate assault is doable, especially if you hang back and let the saints do most of the fighting, but it's really not the best choice.
  • 6 of 12: It's better to say that you'll scout out the dark seducers' positions first, then go do so.
  • 7 of 12: Enter the Underdeep area through the door in the saints' camp, then make your way west to where the green quest arrow is.
  • 8 of 12: When you reach that spot, you'll get a journal entry, and your Underdeep scouting will be complete.
  • 9 of 12: Make your way to the SW corner of the Underdeep area to find a door leading to the Altar of Despair's area.
  • 10 of 12: Go south through that small area to reach the main Cylarne area, then head for the quest arrow, where you'll get another journal entry.
  • 11 of 12: Now you can return to Kaneh at the saints' camp and convince her to attack via the Underdeep.
  • 12 of 12: A third alternative is to do the Dark Seducer Way up to the point where you're supposed to lie to Kaneh to get her into the Underdeep. Instead, encourage her to stick with her plan to assault the main passage, which will now be only lightly defended.
