The Fork of Horripilation

  • 1 of 10: To get this quest, talk to the Argonian named Big Head, who has a house in New Sheoth's Bliss district.
  • 2 of 10: Big Head will give you a special charm and say to talk to Bolwing the beggar.
  • 3 of 10: Make this quest active and follow the quest arrow to find Bolwing.
  • 4 of 10: Talk to him to learn that the Fork of Horripilation is being fought over by some heretics and zealots.
  • 5 of 10: Checking the world map, you'll see a quest arrow pointing to a spot way west of New Sheoth, near the road north of the Gates of Madness.
  • 6 of 10: It's pointing to Longtooth Camp (location 32 on the world map), which is a heretic mage encampment.
  • 7 of 10: When you get there, you may find that the heretics are under attack by some zealots who are after the fork.
  • 8 of 10: If so, it's best to stay back and hide while they fight each other, then swoop in and finish off the survivors.
  • 9 of 10: You'll find the Fork of Horripilation either in the jewelry box next to the small statue bust or on one of the nearby heretics. (Or if you come looking for it before talking to Bolwing, you'll find it on the table to the right of the jewelry box.)
  • 10 of 10: Once you have it, give it to Big Head to get a +1 to your Blade, Sneak, or Alchemy skill -- whichever one you choose to learn a secret for.
