The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles Hints
Aichan Escape Tips
of 10: First, cast a Night-Eye spell if you have one so you can see better. (A Light spell would also work, but would interfere with sneaking.)
of 10: Then raid the battered chest in your cell to get a couple of weapons.
of 10: Find the small push button that's on the wall near the NE corner of your cell and use it to open up an exit in the northern wall.
of 10: Go through a metal door to find yourself in a room with a push button on a statue in the center and gates on either side of you.
of 10: The idea here is that you have a choice of whether to go east or west.
of 10: Use the push button to open both gates, but note that they both close when you go through one of them, forcing you to choose one route or the other.
of 10: When you finish a route, you'll be in a large room with the evidence chest and a golden saint "turnkey" in it.
of 10: Sneak carefully over to the evidence chest so you can grab your goods and equip yourself better before you fight the turnkey.
of 10: Actually, you don't have to fight the turnkey -- you could sneak or run past her, use the push button on the wall to open the metal gate, and run outside.
of 10: However, the turnkey will follow you outside if she saw you leave, and there are two grummites out there to deal with, too.
