The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles Hints

Corpserot Passage Escape Tips

  • 1 of 13: First, cast a Night-Eye spell if you have one so you can see better. (A Light spell would also work, but would interfere with sneaking.)
  • 2 of 13: Then raid the battered chest in your cell to get a couple of weapons.
  • 3 of 13: Find the small push button that's on the north side of the post of the brazier that isn't lit. Using it will open up an exit in the south wall.
  • 4 of 13: Be ready for combat with a grummite in the corridor outside your cell. You might could sneak past him to the metal door at the NE end of the hall, but it's hard.
  • 5 of 13: Check the last cell on the right for a lootable urn before you go through the metal door and leave the cell area.
  • 6 of 13: Past the door, find the entrance to the root-filled tunnel that leads NW.
  • 7 of 13: Past a spore trap and a grummite archer, you'll come to some twisted roots blocking the passage.
  • 8 of 13: After you fight another grummite, you'll exit the tunnel and find a path split.
  • 9 of 13: Go left (NW) if you want to find some treasure containers to raid, but watch out for the large square floor segment that sometimes opens up.
  • 10 of 13: Return to the path split and go NE and along a winding route that includes several grummite encounters.
  • 11 of 13: When you come to the final chamber, sneak carefully along the wall to the SW corner, then sneak NW a short way to find the evidence chest and get your stuff.
  • 12 of 13: After fully equipping yourself, you can either boldly fight the dark seducer "turnkey" and the grummite that ran in when you raided the chest, or you can hide in the room's SW corner until you see a good opportunity to sneak to the NE corner and then to the passage that leads to the exit door.
  • 13 of 13: Once outside, you can probably fast-travel somewhere without any of the nearby grummites seeing you.
