What do I need to collect the feathers, and where do I get it?
1 of 16: Does this sound familiar: "Feathers off a duck, molten lava, dust, insects...."
2 of 16: The pamphlet describing the vacuum cleaner claims to be able to vacuum up duck feathers.The pamphlet was given to you by the vacuum cleaner salesman in the bar.
3 of 16: You'll need to get a vacuum cleaner, like the one described, to use on a duck.
4 of 16: You cannot buy one directly from the salesman...
5 of 16: ...but he has already sold one to the Inn.
6 of 16: Talk to the barkeeper.
7 of 16: If you leave him your key, he'll make arrangements to have your room cleaned -- with the new vacuum cleaner. (If you change your mind, you can talk to the barkeeper again to retrieve your key).
8 of 16: The catch is, you cannot go upstairs to get the vacuum cleaner, because the maid sets up a barrier.
9 of 16: Is there another way you could get to your room?
10 of 16: Don't forget -- there are two doors from the Inn to the outside...
11 of 16: ... and the back door opens onto the floor with your room.
12 of 16: But the door automatically closes and latches behind you when you exit through it; and it is impossible to open from the outside.
13 of 16: You'll have to find a way to keep the door from closing when you pass through it.
14 of 16: Instead of passing through the door and letting it close, you could wedge it open.
15 of 16: Use the wedge of cheese (you may need to stand a bit more towards the hinge side of the door).
16 of 16: With the door wedged open, talk to the barkeep to have your room cleaned, then go outside through the front door and back inside through the back door. You should now be able to pick up the vacuum cleaner from the hall outside your room.
