Which hero perks are the most worthwhile?
1 of 3: All four levels of the Heartiness perk are very useful, since each one increases your max health. However, it'll cost a total of 10,000 E99 tech to buy all four perk levels, so get the first two levels at first, and save the last two for later in the game.
2 of 3: The Defensive and Armor perks are very useful because they decrease the damage you take from melee and projectile attacks. They each have three levels, and each level costs only 1000 E99 tech, so get them all as soon as you can.
3 of 3: The less important, but still useful, perks include Inventory (carry one more health pack per perk level), Medic (increase amount of health gotten from health packs), and Energetic (lengthens your TMD energy line).
