Combat Series Tips

  • 1 of 8: Now that your TMD has unlimited charge, you can use it exclusively for all of these combats.
  • 2 of 8: In particular, use deadlock on a group of enemies, then run up to them and impulse them repeatedly until they're all dead. Or if you don't want to bother with deadlock, you could charge the enemies (or stand and let them charge you) and just rapid-fire-impulse them.
  • 3 of 8: The first enemies you'll encounter are four elite soldiers right after you leave the lab and go down the hall. It's best to deadlock them before impulse-blasting them into oblivion. The same goes for the soldiers who kick open a door past that, plus the riot-shield and elite soldiers you meet past that.
  • 4 of 8: Move past them to get a checkpoint save, then go down the stairs for access to an augmentor and some supplies before continuing back along the walkway. (Note that you're retracing your steps to get back to where you left Barisov.)
  • 5 of 8: When you reach the end of the walkway, pause at the top of the stairs so you can impulse-blast all the phase ticks that charge you. After they're gone, go down the stairs and approach the doors in the back to get a revert and more phase ticks to assault you. Stay back and impulse-blast them, too.
  • 6 of 8: Crouch-walk past the doors and check for supplies, then crouch-walk up to the reverts and impulse-blast them before they notice you. That's the best way to avoid getting puked on.
  • 7 of 8: You'll get another checkpoint save when you enter the room with the weapon locker. Reload it to get rid of any remaining reverts, then use the weapon locker to equip the sniper rifle and either the shotgun or the autocannon. Use all the weapon upgrade items you have on the weapons you choose if they're not already fully upgraded.
  • 8 of 8: As you enter the next room, be ready to run around impulse-blasting all the soldiers that suddenly come into phase and start shooting. It's probably best to just quickly blast them instead of taking the time to make and throw a deadlock bubble.
