Sinking Island Hints
13. Are there one or more irrefutable pieces of evidence of Marco's guilt?
of 19: This is the game's final mandate and I recommend you attempt to solve it on your own -- you're likely to gain much more satisfaction from doing so :) Nonetheless, I will offer hints as usual!
of 19: You will need to present five physical clues, as well as one declaration.
of 19: The declaration confirms that the gloves Marco wore were in fact his.
of 19: Christine Bromski will confirm this, so use her declaration.
of 19: The items you need are found in a couple of places.
of 19: Rummaging through the rubbish bin in Marco's suite will turn up three of the items you need.
of 19: Two airline tickets, and a receipt for the gloves he wore to hide his fingerprints.
of 19: One of the other items are those very gloves. You will find them inside the broken paper shredder on the 17th floor.
of 19: The final item takes a little more thinking, as it is the key to this entire case.
of 19: You need to think it through logically and follow Marco's footprints as he committed the murder of Walter Jones.
of 19: Remember that he was wearing the gloves when he committed the crime.
of 19: So the gloves will have left no marks on the gun.
of 19: Could the opposite have happened somehow?
of 19: Is it possible that the gun left some traces on the gloves?
of 19: Remember who the gun belonged to, and how much pride he took in cleaning them.
of 19: There is likely to be some of the flax oil Walter Jones used to clean the guns left on its handle -- which means it may well have transferred to the gloves.
of 19: In fact, if you do find the gloves, you will notice there IS a stain of some sort on them.
of 19: You will need to compare that stain to some of the flax oil, which can be taken from Walter's gun cabinet.
of 19: This comparison is your final necessary item.
