The Circle of Death Method
This is a method I've created myself and apparently nobody else (until now) knows or has thought about it. When you go up close and personal with an enemy with a weapon like a sword (or a hammer, sometimes) they're going to hit you as you're hitting them most of the times. What I do is hold down the left or right arrow key and swing my sword at them, while we're both turning in circles. This confuses the enemy and he tends to hit you less, and sometimes not at all. However, it does not confuse the player because the player is doing it. This will cut down on your energy lost when fighting with an enemy.
However, of course with all great methods there are downsides. You cannot use this method on monsters like flying skulls and snowflakes because they move around. But this method is great on shargas, trogs, and even the skeletons because they tend not to leave while fighting you.
