What's the best way to get there?

  • 1 of 5: It's near Northwatch Keep. See the Solitude section of the World Map Exploration Guide in the main Skyrim hint file if you need directions for getting to the keep, then head NW from it.
  • 2 of 5: If you have 500 gold to spare, you could get someone to ferry you out to the jetty.
  • 3 of 5: Go to Dawnstar, then look for a guy named Harlaug next to his boat a short way NW of Silus Vesuius' house.
  • 4 of 5: Say you'd like to hire his boat, then ask him to take you to an island near the border of Highrock.
  • 5 of 5: He won't want to do it, but if you insist, he'll let you pay him 500 gold to go there. After the conversation is over, move up to the boat and activate it to get taken to Icewater Jetty.
