The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints

New Unique Equipment

  • * Ahzidal => This dragon priest mask increases your fire resistance by 50% and the strength of your fire-based spells by 25%. Every Ahzidal-brand item can be gotten during the "Unearthed" side quest.
    * Ahzidal's Armor of Retribution => When you're wearing this armor, any enemy that hits you with a melee attack has a small chance of being paralyzed.
    * Ahzidal's Boots of Waterwalking => Wearing these boots will allow you to walk on water, just like the Water Walking spell did in Oblivion. If you wear them with three other Ahzidal-brand artifacts, you'll get a small boost to the power of the enchantments you put on items.
    * Ahzidal's Gauntlets of Warding => Wearing these gauntlets will make your warding spells 25% less effective, while at the same time causing them to absorb 50% of the magicka that hits them.
    * Ahzidal's Helm of Vision => While wearing this helmet, you can conjure creatures and cast runes at farther-away spots than you normally can. Unfortunately, it also raises the magicka cost of casting those spells by 25%.
    * Ahzidal's Ring of Arcana => Wearing this ring adds the special Ignite and Freeze spells to your Destruction spell inventory.
    * Ahzidal's Ring of Necromancy => Any creature you reanimate with a spell while wearing this ring will explode for 50 points of frost damage the first time it's damaged.

    * Blackguard's Armor => This armor increases your carrying capacity by 50. You can get the entire armor set after finishing the "Recover the Bonemold Formula for Glover Mallory" miscellaneous quest.
    * Blackguard's Boots => These boots make pickpocketing 40% easier.
    * Blackguard's Gloves => These gloves make lockpicking 40% easier.
    * Blackguard's Hood => This hood makes prices 25% better.

    * Bloodscythe => When dual-wielded with Soulrender, this scimitar will absorb 15 points of health, and will have a chance to weaken enemy armor. You can get it during the "Deathbrand" side quest.

    * Bloodskal Blade => Whenever you use this greatsword to power-attack an enemy, it'll unleash an energy attack that does 30 additional points of damage. The energy attack is ranged, so you could actually power-attack enemies from a distance to hit them with the sword's energy. Also note that the energy attack has unlimited charge. You'll get the sword during the "The Final Descent" side quest.

    * Champion's Cudgel => Every time you hit someone with this warhammer, there's a 50% chance of it doing a leveled amount of fire, frost, and shock damage. You can get it during the "March of the Dead" side quest.

    * Deathbrand Armor => Wearing this armor will increase your stamina by 15 for every Deathbrand armor item you're wearing. You can get the entire armor set during the "Deathbrand" side quest.
    * Deathbrand Boots => Wearing these boots adds 10 to your carrying capacity for every Deathbrand armor item you're wearing.
    * Deathbrand Gauntlets => Wearing these gauntlets will make you do 10% more damage per Deathbrand item worn if you're dual-wielding.
    * Deathbrand Helm => Wearing this helm lets you breathe underwater. It'll also add 100 to your armor rating if you're wearing the full Deathbrand armor set.

    * Dwarven Black Bow of Fate => Each strike made with this bow has a 50% chance per attribute (health, magicka, stamina) to absorb 25 points of that attribute from the target. You can get it by doing the "Find Resonance Gems across Solstheim to complete the Kagrumez trials" miscellaneous quest.

    * Dukaan => This dragon priest mask increases your frost resistance by 50% and the strength of your frost-based spells by 25%. It can be gotten from the dragon priest named Dukaan, who's in the same room in White Ridge Barrow that the "Black Book: The Sallow Regent" is in.

    * Glass Bow of the Stag Prince => Having this bow equipped adds to your health and stamina. The amount it adds starts at 5 and goes up for every 20 animals you kill with it. It's in the possession of Falas Selvayn, who can be found at the Ramshackle Trading Post after midnight. (Note that you'll need to be in a location far away from the trading post, wait until after midnight, and then fast-travel to the trading post.) Unfortunately, he'll probably have the bow equipped, and he's unkillable. If you don't have the Pickpocket skill's Misdirection perk, you could try using pickpocketing to "give" him a weapon (not necessarily a bow) that has a high damage rating. Leave and come back the next night, at which time you should be able to pickpocket the Stag Prince bow.

    * Hoarfrost => Like all ancient nordic pickaxes, this one can be used to mine stalhrim. When you use it as a weapon, it'll do 15 points of frost damage, and there's a small chance that it'll freeze the target solid. You can get this pickaxe from Ralis Sedarys either during or after the "Unearthed" side quest (or by pickpocketing it from him).

    * Horksbane => This mace does extra damage to horkers. It can be found on the ground next to Saden's body on Horker Island. (Note that it can be enchanted.)

    * Miraak => This dragon priest mask increases your magicka by 50-70 points (leveled). All Miraak-brand artifacts can be gotten after finishing the "At the Summit of Apocrypha" mainline quest.
    * Miraak's Boots => When worn with Miraak's Robes, these boots will raise its absorption percentage by 5%.
    * Miraak's Gloves => When worn with Miraak's Robes, these gloves will raise its absorption percentage by 5%.
    * Miraak's Robes => Wearing these robes will cause you to absorb 15% of the magicka from dragon breath and spell attacks. Also, there's a chance of a tentacle explosion every time you're hit.
    * Miraak's Staff => This staff can be used to spray the ground with tentacles, which will stagger and poison enemies that enter them.
    * Miraak's Sword => This sword is even more powerful than dragonbone swords, and it only weighs 3 pounds! Unfortunately, its enchantment (absorb stamina 15 points) isn't a very good one, and it can't be enchanted with any other effects.

    * Ring of Bloodlust => If you're wearing this ring when you transform into a werewolf, your attacks will do 50% more damage, and you'll take 50% more damage. All four of the unique werewolf rings can be bought from Majni at Frostmoon Crag if you're a werewolf.
    * Ring of the Hunt => This ring will give you a health regeneration effect while in beast form.
    * Ring of Instinct => This ring will make everything else appear to move more slowly for 20 seconds after you transform.
    * Ring of the Moon => This ring will increase the duration of your howls by 20%.

    * Soulrender => When dual-wielded with Bloodscythe, this scimitar will absorb 15 points of magicka, and will have a chance to dispel an enemy's magical defenses. You can get it during the "Deathbrand" side quest.

    * Stormfang => This greatsword does 30 points of shock damage. You can get it from the reaver lord at Brodir Grove.

    * Visage of Mzund => This dwarven helmet will add 60 to your stamina and give you the Breath of Nchuak power, which can be used to convert stamina into a steam blast, much like a dwarven centurion's steam breath. (Note that unlike most powers, this one can be used repeatedly, as long as you have at least a little stamina.) You can get this helmet while doing the "Looting Fahlbtharz" undocumented quest. (Note that this helmet's armor rating is one point higher than daedric helmets'.)

    * Zahkriisos => This dragon priest mask increases your shock resistance by 50% and the strength of your shock spells by 25%. It can be gotten from the dragon priest named Zahkriisos on the "The Final Descent" side quest.
