1 of 7: These directions start at the bottom of the stairs that lead up to the portal you entered the Soul Cairn through.
2 of 7: Go a short way NE down the light-colored path to reach a building on your right.
3 of 7: Go up its stairs, then figure out how to lower the bars that are in the doorway.
4 of 7: Look on either side of the doorway to find two small standing stones with big round holes near their tops.
5 of 7: You need to fire something through both of those holes to lower the bars.
6 of 7: You can use arrows, crossbow bolts, or whatever. I find it most convenient to use the Flames spell.
