The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints
Get three taproots.
1 of 3: If you don't have any taproots saved up, you can return to Skyrim and visit alchemy merchants to buy some, or go to spriggan groves and kill spriggans to get some.
2 of 3: If you want to kill spriggans on Solstheim, go to the Headwaters of Harstrad area (which you'll have to visit later, anyway). There's one spriggan inside the cave, and one just outside.
3 of 3: There are also three spriggans tending the giant nirnroot garden on the island that's a ways directly north of Frossel.
