The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints
Kill Ildari.
1 of 12: Travel to Highpoint Tower, and kill the ash spawn you encounter as you go up the steps and over to the tower's entry door.
2 of 12: Once inside, go down all the winding stairs, then down a short passage to reach a large room with pulsating spider eggs on the left and a magic pedestal trap on the right.
3 of 12: If you don't want to mess with the spiders, you can just shoot the pedestal's soul gem off with an arrow or ranged spell, then go down the passage that's past it.
4 of 12: After killing a couple of ash spawn, watch out for another magic pedestal trap, followed by a large room with a falling rock trap and a magic rune trap.
5 of 12: Past that room is a path split with another magic rune trap on the wall. Optionally go right and rescue the miner named Niyya by picking the lock on her cell, then go the other way to reach a mine area.
6 of 12: Sneak slowly through the mine with a bow or ranged spell out. Stop when you hear Ildari's voice, then look ahead and up to see her on top of a wooden structure. Quickly back up a bit and start shooting the ash guardian that her big, fancy magic platform summons.
7 of 12: The ash guardian can't leave the platform, so switch your attention to the ash spawn who come after you. Finish them and the ash guardian off, then go past the guardian's platform to find more ash spawn on the wooden structure that you'll need to climb to get up to where Ildari was.
8 of 12: Check the little alchemy room for loot, then move along the wooden structures until you reach another large tunnel. Move slowly along it until two ash spawn rise up in an attempt to ambush you, then hang back while dealing with them so the next two don't come after you right away.
9 of 12: Finish off the ash spawn in the tunnel, then turn right past it and cross a bridge. Crouch down and sneak along the narrow passage until you come to the entrance of the room that Ildari is hiding in.
10 of 12: Move slowly into the room until you can see one of the two magic pedestal traps that are on the upper floor. Use arrows or ranged spells to knock its soul gem off, then try to do the same to the other pedestal trap without Ildari seeing you.
11 of 12: After that, look for your chance to sneak-shoot Ildari. If you carefully dodge out of sight after every sneaky shot, you should be able to knock her health way down without coming under fire. Once that's done, charge her and finish her off.
12 of 12: Instead of dying when she runs out of health, she'll lie panting on the floor, and you'll need to use the "activate" prompt to rip out her heart.
