Lost Knowledge
1 of 4: After you finish the "The Gardener of Men" mainline quest, you can visit Neloth in Tel Mithryn and ask if he's found any other black books. If there's one or more black book side quests that you haven't done yet, you'll get this quest.
2 of 4: Check the quest's description in the game journal to see where the book is, then look through the five black book side quests' hints until you find the one that matches.
3 of 4: Do that side quest (or just get the book), then return to Neloth and tell him you have the black book to get 1000 gold. You'll also get to keep the book itself.
4 of 4: NOTE: If there are any more black books still unobtained, you can come back later and ask Neloth about finding black books to get this quest again.
