How can I open that gate and get up to it?
1 of 7: Look around the room for some "scrye" devices.
2 of 7: The east and west sides of the room each have three small alcoves. Check for scrye devices in them.
3 of 7: The middle alcove on the west side has one just to the right of a closed gate.
4 of 7: Using that scrye device opens the gate, so go through it to find another scrye device.
5 of 7: Using it opens the gate in the middle alcove on the east side of the room, so go through it to find yet another scrye device.
6 of 7: It opens one of the gates that's on the cage in the middle of the room, so enter it to find (you guessed it!) another scrye device.
7 of 7: Fortunately, it's the last one. Using it will open the gate at the south end of the room and extend its stone steps.
